FACIAL FILLERS:
Fillers can be permanent or absorbable and aim to attenuate the depth of wrinkles or to adequate anatomical areas of your face such as lips and cheeks. They can also help in the treatment of facial pathologies and in the correction of previous surgical imperfections. The non–absorbable substances in the permanent fillers, although they promise more lasting results, can present adverse reactions and have uncertain behaviour throughout time, not yet well clarified in scientific studies. For this reason, we opt and we indicate absorbable substances such as Hyaluronic Acid.
BOTOX:
Botox (Botulinic Toxin) is a natural protein that acts on facial muscles, paralysing temporarily and selectively the muscular contraction, thus alleviating expression wrinkles - as those formed when we smile - promoting a lighter and serene look. To optimise results, we consider combining the application of Botox with other fillers. Such cosmetic procedures however, do not substitute an eventual need for surgery, but they can beneficially potenlialise its aesthetic result.
TREATMENT:
The procedures can be associated to surgery or applied in medical consultation. In this case, a local anesthetic cream is applied on the area to be treated. The Hyaluronic Acid is injected in wrinkles or areas where an anatomical adequation is wanted and the Botulinic Toxin in applied in facial muscles.
POST-TREATMENT:
The effect of fillers appear immediately and that of Botox application, after one week. You may rarely experience minimal pain or discomfort and normal activities can be retaken immediately. Alergic reactions are practically inexistent. Eventual swelling subsides with icy pads.
